หอนาฬิกา ตั้งอยู่บริเวณหน้าอาคารสำนักงานทรัพย์สินส่วนพระมหากษัตริย์ ทางจังหวัดฉะเชิงเทราได้ทำการปรับปรุงพื้นที่ขึ้นใหม่ เพื่อให้เป็นพื้นที่พักผ่อนริมแม่น้ำบางปะกง ของชาวฉะเชิงเทรา ประกอบด้วย ลานน้ำพุประดับไฟ เปลี่ยนสีในเวลากลางคืน และ หอนาฬิกาที่ส่งเสียงบอกเวลาทุกๆ 30 นาที

ในอดีตบริเวณที่เป็นลานด้านหน้านี้ เคยเป็นตลาดสดและที่จอดรถขนส่ง ของชาวแปดริ้ว หลังจากเกิดไฟไหม้ได้สร้างอาคารเป็นห้างสรรพสินค้าแห่งแรกของจังหวัด คือ "ห้างตะวันออกพลาซ่า" ต่อมาได้ทุบอาคารนี้ออกเพื่อปรับปรุงพื้นที่นี้ สร้างหอนาฬิกาและ ลานน้ำพุ เพื่อเป็นแหล่งพักผ่อนแห่งใหม่ของฉะเชิงเทรา / ข้อมูลจาก FB : Journey 8 Riew
In the past, This area before to be this yard, it was the market and parking for the transportation of Chachoengsao people. After the fire was building a shopping mall in the first of province, it is ""The East Plaza" (Tawan-oak Plaza in Thai). Later this building was smashed out, to improved this area and built the Clock Tower and fountain yard for to be the rest area, the new sources of Chachoengsao city.
อาคารสำนักงานทรัพย์สินส่วนพระมหากษัตริย์จังหวัดฉะเชิงเทรา เปิดทำการทุกวัน 08.00 - 17.00 น.
เป็นอาคารเก่าแก่ มีสถาปัตยกรรมแบบตะวันตก สร้างขึ้นเมื่อปี พ.ศ.2446 ริมแม่น้ำบางปะกง เคยเป็น "ศาลากลางจังหวัดฉะเชิงเทรา" ในปี พ.ศ.2506 และเคยใช้เป็น "ศาลาเทศบาลเมืองฉะเชิงเทรา" ปัจจุบันใช้เป็น "อาคารสำนักงานทรัพย์สินส่วนพระมหากษัตริย์จังหวัดฉะเชิงเทรา" กรมศิลปากรประกาศขึ้นทะเบียนเป็นโบราณสถานแห่งชาติ เมื่อปี พ.ศ.2520
The Crown Property Bureau Chachoengsao. Open daily 08:00 to 17:00 hrs. It is the historic building with Western architecture, built in year 1903, waterfront of Bang Pakong River. It had been "The hall of Chachoengsao province" in year 1963 and was used as "A municipal hall of Chachoengsao city". The currently is use as "The Crown Property Bureau Chachoengsao province". The Fine Arts Department registered as a national historic site on the year 1977.
จังหวัดฉะเชิงเทรา หรือ เมืองแปดริ้ว อยู่ห่างจากกรุงเทพฯ 82 กิโลเมตร เคยเป็นเมืองมณฑลปราจีนบุรีในสมัยรัชกาลที่ 5 และในปี พ.ศ. 2459 ได้เปลี่ยนจากเมืองเป็นจังหวัด เรียกว่า "จังหวัดฉะเชิงเทรา" คำว่า "ฉะเชิงเทรา" เป็นภาษาเขมร แปลว่า คลองลึก ส่วนชื่อ “แปดริ้ว” นั้น ได้มาจากคำบอกเล่าต่อกันมาว่า ในเมืองนี้มีปลาช่อนขนาดใหญ่ชุกชุม และเมื่อนำมาตากแดดเพื่อทำเป็นปลาแห้ง จะต้องแล่เนื้อปลา แต่ได้ถึง 8 ริ้ว / จากข้อมูลการท่องเที่ยวจังหวัดฉะเชิงเทรา
Chachoengsao province or Paetrew city, 82 kilometers away from Bangkok. Here was once a Prachinburi canton in the reign of KING RAMA 5.
