Wat Si-Sra-Thong is located in Nakhon Chaisri district in Nakhon Pathom province Thailand. An ancient temple built in the early Rattanakosin period and is the center of Vientiane people from Laos.
วัดนี้มีชื่อเสียงเรื่องพระราหูซึ่งท่านเจ้าอาวาสหลวงพ่อน้อย นาวารัตน์ เป็นผู้ฟื้นฟูเรื่องพระราหูขึ้นมา จนมีผู้คนจากทั่วทุกสารทิศต่างเข้ามากราบไหว้บูชาพระราหู
This temple is famous for Rahu which Luang Por Noi Nawarat is a abbot has restoration of Rahu until a lot people come to a worship the Rahu.
"วัดศีรษะทอง" เป็นวัดเก่าแก่แห่งหนึ่งในอำเภอนครชัยศรี สร้างขึ้นสมัยกรุงรัตนโกสินทร์ตอนต้นเมื่อ พ.ศ. 2358 และถือเป็นศูนย์รวมของชาวลาวเวียงจันทน์และชุมชนใกล้เคียง บริเวณวัดศีรษะทองเดิมเป็นป่ารกร้างเพราะอยู่ห่างจากแหล่งน้ำ จนในสมัยพระบาทสมเด็จพระพุทธยอดฟ้าจุฬาโลกมหาราช รัชกาลที่ 1 ได้มีชาวลาวจากเวียงจันทร์อพยพมาตั้งถิ่นฐาน มีการถางป่าสร้างชุมชนขึ้นแล้วจึงสร้างวัด และได้พบเศียรพระพุทธรูปทองจมดินอยู่ จึงตั้งชื่อว่า "วัดหัวทอง"
"Wat Si-Sra-Thong" is an ancient temple in Nakhon Chaisri district built in the early Rattanakosin period and is the center of Vientiane people from Laos and neighboring communities. Temple area was originally a desolate wilderness because is far from a water source. During the reign of King Rama I, the Lao people from Vientiane migrated to settle and forest felling to build community then build a temple. And found a Buddha head sunk in the soil then called named "Wat Hua Thong" (meaning to Buddha head gold)
ภายหลังมีการขุดคลองจากแม่น้ำท่าจีนที่ตลาดต้นสน เพื่อเป็นทางเสด็จพระราชดำเนินไปนมัสการองค์พระปฐมเจดีย์ ประชาชนจึงย้ายมาอยู่ริมคลองเจดีย์บูชาและได้ย้ายวัดมาด้วยเพื่อสะดวกต่อการสัญจร และเปลี่ยนชื่อเป็น "วัดศีรษะทอง" จนถึงปัจจุบัน / ข้อมูล วัดศีรษะทอง
Later, has dug the canal from the Tha Chin River at Ton-Son Market to be the King's route to proceed to the worship Phra Pathom Chedi a pagoda. People has moved to live along the canal and moved the temple and changed the name to "Wat Si-Sra-Thong" till the present.
