The building was registered as a historic site of the Fine Arts Department, dated August 16, 1977. Construction began and opened in 1900 in the period of Phra Pol Ar-Sa is governor of Chiang Rai City. This building as the architecture for over 100 years.

Briggs) แพทย์ชาวอเมริกันในนามคณะมิชชั่นนารี อเมริกันเพรสไบทีเรียน (American Presbyterian Mission) แห่งกรุงนิวยอร์ค สหรัฐอเมริกา โครงสร้างของอาคารเป็นก่ออิฐถือปูน 3 ชั้น ทรงยุโรปแบบโคโรเนียล ด้านหน้าอาคารก่ออิฐเป็นรูปโค้ง (Arch) การก่อสร้างผนังมีความหนาถึง 50 เซนติเมตร ไม่ใช้เสา และ คานคอนกรีตเสริมเหล็ก ซึ่งเป็นโครงสร้างกำแพงแบบรับน้ำหนัก (Wall Bearing) / มุสลิมเชียงใหม่ดอทเน็ต
Design and construction by Dr.William A. Briggs, American doctors on behalf The missionaries of New York America. The structure of the building is brick and cement, a 3 storeies in European colonial style. Front brick building an arch. The construction of the wall has a thickness of 50 cm not used pillars and beams reinforced concrete, which is a structural with a system wall bearing.

สนามบิน (เก่า) ฝูงบิน 416 ของกองทัพอากาศ จังหวัดเชียงราย พื้นที่รันเวย์ ยาวกว่า 1.6 ก.ม. ความยาวเฉลี่ย 1.5 - 1.7 กิโลเมตร แต่ไม่ถึง 2 กิโลเมตร และ รวมพื้นที่บริเวณรอบ ๆ จะมีกว่า 600 ไร่ ทางเทศบาลนครเชียงราย เข้ามาจัดทำสวนสุขภาพ เนื้อที่ราว 10 ไร่ทางทิศเหนือของรันเวย์ เพื่อให้หน่วยราชการอื่นๆ ที่ต้องการใช้พื้นที่ และ ประชาชนได้เข้ามาออกกำลังกายในตอนเช้า และ ตอนเย็น ยังมีสนามกอล์ฟ โดยให้เอกชนเข้ามาดำเนินการ เป็นสนามกอล์ฟ 9 หลุม สนามบินฝูงบิน 416 ของกองทัพอากาศ จังหวัดเชียงราย เวลานี้แปรสภาพเป็นสนามออกกำลังกายของชนทุกวัย / ผู้จัดการออนไลน์
