Khun Dan Prakan Chon Dam was formerly named Khlong Tha-Dan Dam is located at Ban Tha-Dan in Hin Tang subdistrict, Muang district in Nakhon Nayok province Thailand. It is the compacted concrete dam is the longest in Thailand and in the world.
เขื่อนขุนด่านปราการชลสร้างขึ้นตามแนวพระราชดำริของพระบาทสมเด็จพระเจ้าอยู่หัว เพื่อเก็บกักน้ำในช่วงหน้าฝนไว้ในหน้าแล้ง และควบคุมไม่ให้เกิดน้ำท่วมบ้านเรือนราษฎร ไร่นาและพื้นที่การเกษตรในหน้าฝน โดยสร้างครอบฝายท่าด่านเดิม

And control the water do not to flooding of houses local people, plantations and agricultural areas in the rainy season which constructed dam cover the formerly Tha-Dan Dam.
นักท่องเที่ยวสามารถชมวิวอุทยานแห่งชาติเขาใหญ่ได้จากบริเวณด้านหน้าสันเขื่อน และชมทิวทัศน์เมืองนครนายกด้านหลังเขื่อน และสามารถเช่าเรือหางยาวเพื่อชมน้ำตกที่อยู่ลึกเข้าไปในป่าในอ่างเก็บน้ำของเขื่อนได้ หรือ จะนั่งรถรางชมสันเขื่อน คนละ 30 บาท
Visitors can enjoy the view of Khao Yai National Park from the front of dam and view of Nakhon Nayok city from back of dam. Also rent the boat to watch the waterfall is deep in the reservoir or by streetcar for 30 baht per a person.

Khun Dan Prakan Chon Dam is the dam consists of a main dam and secondary dam built with compacted concrete. Current is the compacted concrete dam is the longest in Thailand and in the world. The total length of 2720 meters in height (maximum) 93 meters, can get water flowing from the Khao Yai National Park, through Haew Narok Waterfall into the reservoir with a capacity of 224 million cubic meters.

เจ้าพ่อปลัดจ่าง หรือเจ้าพ่อเขาใหญ่ เดิมชื่อ นายจ่าง นิสัยสัตย์ เป็นคนบ้านเขานางบวช เมืองนครนายก ในอดีตท่านรับราชการเป็นปลัดกองทัพไทยแห่งกรุงรัตนโกสินทร์ ท่านได้รับหน้าที่จากทางราชการให้เป็นผู้เก็บค่ารัชชูปกรณ์ (ส่วย) ในพื้นที่เมืองนครนายก ท่านมีจิตใจโอบอ้อมอารี รักญาติพี่น้อง ให้ความช่วยเหลือชาวบ้านทุกๆ ด้าน เป็นบุคคลที่ชาวบ้านให้ความเคารพนับถือเป็นอย่างมาก ได้เสียชีวิตลงด้วยไข้ป่าด้วยวัย 75 ปี ชาวบ้านจึงพร้อมใจกันตั้งศาลเพียงตาไว้ที่ใต้ต้นกะบกใหญ่ บริเวณวัดหนองเคียม จังหวัดนครนายก เรียกศาลนั้นว่า " ศาลเจ้าพ่อปลัดจ่าง" ต่อมาในสมัยรัฐบาล ฯพณฯ จอมพลสฤษดิ์ ธนะรัชต์ ได้มีการจัดตั้งป่าเขาใหญ่ เป็นอุทยานแห่งชาติเขาใหญ่ และได้มีการจัดตั้งศาลเจ้าพ่อขึ้นที่บริเวณกิโลเมตรที่ 23 ถนนธนะรัชต์ และได้อัญเชิญดวงวิญญาณของท่านมาสถิตย์ไว้ และขนานนามว่า "ศาลเจ้าพ่อเขาใหญ่" / KHAOYAI ZONE
Shrine of Chao Phor Palad Jang or Chao Phor Khao Yai was formerly named Jang Nisai-Sut live in Ban Nang Buad, Nakhon Nayok city. In the past, he served as undersecretary the Army of Rattanakosin period. He was commissioned by the the government to collect the tribute in Nakhon Nayok city. He have a great mind, generosity to relatives, helping locals every person so they are respect a lot to him. Died of malaria at the age of 75 years. The local people are agreed together to built a shrines at under a large tree in Wat Nong Khiem in Nakhon Nayok city, called the "Shrine Chao Phor Palad Jang". Later in the government of Prime Chom Phon Sarit Thanarat has established Khao Yai forest to be Khao Yai National Park and has established a shrine at km 23th on Thanarat Road and called the "Shrine Chao Phor Khao Yai."
