วัดพระยาสุเรนทร์ กรุงเทพ Wat Phraya Suren in Bangkok Thailand.

วัดพระยาสุเรนทร์ ตั้งอยู่ที่ ถนนพระยาสุเรนทร์ แขวงสามวาตะวันตก เขตคลองสามวา กรุงเทพมหานคร ผู้ก่อสร้างวัด คือ พันตรีพระยาสุเรนทร์ราชเสนา (พึ่ง สิงหเสนี) เป็นวัดเก่าแก่มีอายุกว่า 120 ปี
Wat Phraya Suren is located on the road Phraya Suren in Klong Sam Wah (West) District, Bangkok Thailand. built by Phraya Suren Rachasena (Phueng Singhaseni) is the old temple over 120 years.

เมื่อวันที่ 8 สิงหาคม 2557 เวลา 06.30–10.00 น. นายกมล ภูริภูษิต ผู้ช่วยผู้อำนวยการเขตคลองสามวา กทม. ร่วมกับวัดพระยาสุเรนทร์ กำหนดจัดพิธีเฉลิมฉลองพระบรมสารีริกธาตุ 5 ประเทศ ได้แก่ ไทย ศรีลังกา เนปาล อินเดีย และ พม่า เพื่อให้พุทธศาสนิกชนได้สักการะบูชา

สมเด็จพระพุฒาจารย์ เกิดในรัชสมัยพระบาทสมเด็จพระพุทธยอดฟ้าจุฬาโลกมหาราช ร. 1 (หลังสร้างกรุงรัตนโกสินทร์ได้แล้ว 7 ปี เมื่อวันพฤหัสบดี ที่ 17 เมษายน พ.ศ. 2331) ได้บรรพชาเป็นสามเณร เมื่อ พ.ศ. 2343 อุปสมบทปี พ.ศ. 2350 พระบาทสมเด็จพระพุทธยอดฟ้าจุฬาโลก ทรงพระกรุณาโปรดเกล้าฯ ให้เป็นนาคหลวงเรียกว่า "พระมหาโต" มีฉายานามในพุทธศาสนาว่า "พฺรหฺมรํสี" ต่อมาปี พ.ศ. 2407 ในรัชสมัยพระบาทสมเด็จพระจอมเกล้าเจ้าอยู่หัว ร. 4 จึงทรงพระกรุณาโปรดเกล้าฯ สถาปนาสมณศักดิ์ขึ้นสมเด็จพระราชาคณะที่ "สมเด็จพระพุฒาจารย์" (โต พฺรหฺมรํสี) เป็นพระภิกษุมหานิกาย เคยดำรงตำแหน่งเจ้าอาวาสวัดระฆังโฆสิตารามวรมหาวิหาร เมื่ออายุ 65 ปี ในสมัยรัชกาลที่ 4-5

Somdej Phra Puttha Chan Toh Prom Rangsi was born during the reign of King RAMA 1 (After created the Rattanakosin City, then seven years. On Thursday, April 17, 1788) was ordained as a novice in year 1800 and the ordination in year 1807. King RAMA 1 give to a royal monk call the " Maha Toh Prom Rangsi". Later in year 1864 in the reign of King Mongkut (King RAMA 4) to give to appointed is a prelate " Somdej Phra Phuttha Chan Toh Prom Rangsi, is a Buddhist monk in Maha Nikaya and he was an abbot at Wat Rakang Kositaram Woramahawihan, at the age 65 years during the reign of King RAMA 4 - 5.

วัดพระยาสุเรนทร์ เป็นวัดเก่าแก่มีอายุกว่า 120 ปี พระอุโบสถของวัดจึงมีอายุมากกว่า "114 ปี" ทางวัดได้ทำการบูรณะขึ้นใหม่ ด้วยการดีดโบสถ์ขึ้นมาอีก 1.90 เมตร และได้สร้างศาลาล้อมรอบโบสถ์ หรือ ระเบียงคต ที่บันไดทางขึ้นมียักษ์ 2 ตน ประตูหน้ามีรูปปั้นหลวงปู่ทวด และพระพุทธรูปปางรำพึง ประดิษฐานอยู่

Wat Phraya Suren is the old temple over 120 years. Which the chapel of the Temple is older than "114 years". The temple was a newly renovated by strum up the chapel 1.90 meters. And has built the walkway with the roof surrounded the chapel or cloister ( Rabeang Kot = ระเบียงคต in Thai). At the stair, entrance are the two giants. Luang Pu Thuad monk statues and Buddha standing statue, enshrined at the front door.

มีพระพุทธรูปประธานประดิษฐานภายในพระอุโบสถ์ มี 2 ประตูทางเข้าและ ผนังด้านบนประตูมีรูปพันตรีพระยาสุเรนทร์ราชเสนา (พึ่ง สิงหเสนี) และ แผ่นทองจารึก หรือ วิสุงคามสีมา (ที่ดินสำหรับสร้างวัด) ที่ได้รับพระราชทานจากรัชกาลที่ 5 เมื่อครั้งสร้างวัดเสร็จเมื่อ พ.ศ. 2431

Buddha statues are enshrined inside the chapel. 2 doors, entrances and at the wall above the door is the picture of Phraya Suren Rachasena (Phueng Singhaseni). And a gold plate inscribed or Wisung-Kamsema received from the King RAMA 5, when the temple was completed in year 1888.

พระยาสุเรนทร์ เป็นบุตรคนที่ 8 ของท่านเจ้าพระยามุขมนตรี (เกด สิงหเสนี) มารดาชื่อ นาค กัลยาณสุต มีพี่น้องทั้งหมด 12 คน พันตรีพระยาสุเรนทร์ราชเสนา ภรรยาชื่อท่านคุณหญิงสุเรนทร์ ราชเสนา (บุญมี สิงหเสนี)

Phraya Suren is a son number 8 from 12 persons of Phraya Mukha Montree (Kate Singhaseni), Mother is Nak Kalyanasut, his wife is Than Khun-ying (Milady) Suren Rachasena (Boonme Singhaseni).

And the painting about history of the temple, Buddhist history and lifestyles of the people in the old time.

ทางวัดกำลังสร้างพระพุทธรูปปางประสูติ มีลักษณะเป็นพระพุทธรูปยืน มือข้างขวาชี้ขึ้นฟ้า มือข้างซ้ายชี้ลงพื้น และ ยืนบนฐานบัว

The Temple is creating the Baby Buddha Statue which is the standing Buddha with the right hand is point to the sky, the left hand point to the floor and stand on the lotus base.

พระพุทธเจ้าทรงประสูติที่ใต้ต้นสาละ ณ. สวนลุมพินีวัน โดยพระองค์เสด็จย่างพระบาทไป 7 ก้าว มีดอกบัวผุดขึ้นมารองรับ 7 ดอก ในเวลาใกล้เที่ยงของวันเพ็ญเดือนวิสาขะ วันศุกร์ขึ้น 15 ค่ำ เดือน 6 ปีจอ ก่อนพระพุทธศักราช 80 ปี พระพุทธรูปปางประสูติทำขึ้นเป็นครั้งแรก ณ ลุมพินีวัน คือ อาณาเขตประเทศเนปาลในปัจจุบัน

เมื่อท่านพระยาสุเรนทร์อายุได้ 15 ปี ได้ถวายตัวเป็นมหาดเล็กในกรมพระราชวังบวรวิไชยชาญ ต่อมาพระบาทสมเด็จจุลจอมเกล้าเจ้าอยู่หัว รัชกาลที่ 5 ทรงโปรดเกล้าให้ตำแหน่งยศเป็น พระยาสุเรนทร์ราชเสนา เมื่ออายุ 30 ปี ถือศักดินา 4,000 ไร่ และเมื่อวันที่ 25 เมษายน พ.ศ. 2425 ตรงกับวันอังคาร ขึ้น 7 ค่ำ เดือน 6 ร.ศ.101 ท่านได้สร้างวัดพระยาสุเรนทร์บนเนื้อที่ 48 ไร่ ที่แขวงมีนบุรี (เขตคลองสามวาในปัจจุบัน) เพื่อถวายเป็นพระราชกุศล แด่พระบาทสมเด็จพระจุลจอมเกล้าเจ้าอยู่หัว รัชการที่ 5 และ ได้รับพระราชทานที่วิสุงคามสีมา ต่อมาท่านได้บรรพชาเป็นสามเณร จนกระทั้งมรณภาพ ในปี พ.ศ. 2449 ด้วยโรคชรา
When Praya Suren age 15 years, entrusting to a vassal in Krom Phra Ratchawang Bowon Wichaichan. Later, King RAMA 5 was give a position to him, to be Praya Suren Racha Sena at the age 30 years, to get 4000 Rai rice field in Feudalism. And on Tuesday, April 25, 1882 him was build to Wat Phraya Suren on an area of 48 Rai in Minburi district (Klong Samwa in now) for is a royal charity to King RAMA 5 and Wisung-Kamsema received from the King RAMA 5. Later he was ordained as a novice, until passed away in year 1956 with senility.

วัดพระยาสุเรนทร์ หรือ อีกชื่อหนึ่งคือ วัดบึงพระยาสุเรนทร์ เพราะในเวลาต่อมาได้เกิดความแห้งแล้ง ชาวบ้านได้ทำการขุดสระน้ำที่ด้านหลังวัด ยาวประมาณ 1 เส้น กว้าง 10 วา เรียกว่า "สระน้ำปู่" ต่อมาในปี พ.ศ. 2510 กรมชลประทานได้ทำการขุดคลองกว้างประมาณ 6 วา จึงเป็นชื่อ "คลองหกวา" มาจนปัจจุบัน

Wat Phraya Suren or Wat Biung Phraya Suren because the later has caused a drought so the villagers had to dig a pond behind the temple with length of about 1 line (sen), a wide 10 wah, call "Sra Nam Pu". Later in the year 1967 the Department of Irrigation has to dig a canal a width of about 6 wah. So is named "Klong Hok Wah" to the current.
