อนุสาวรีย์พญามังราย มัสยิดดารุลอามาน เชียงราย Phaya Mengrai Monument, Masjid Darul Aman in ChiangRai Thailand.

อนุสาวรีย์พญามังราย ตั้งอยู่ 5 แยกพ่อขุน เส้นทางที่จะไปอำเภอแม่จัน หรือ แม่สาย พระรูปเป็นทองสัมฤทธิ์ ขนาด 1 เท่าครึ่ง ประทับยืนบนฐานสูงประมาณ 3 เมตร โดยศิลปิน ปกรณ์ เล็กฮอน

ทำพิธีเปิดอนุสาวรีย์ เมื่อวันที่ 31 มีนาคม พ.ศ.2507 ใช้งบประมาณในการก่อสร้างทั้งสิ้น 80,000 บาท มีตุงหลวงเฉลิมพระเกียรติ ฝีมือของ ถวัลย์ ดัชนี, เฉลิมชัย โฆษิตพิพัฒน์ และ กนก วิศวะกุล ตามลำดับ ประดับอยู่ทางด้านหลังอนุสาวรีย์

พญามังราย เป็นพระมหากษัตริย์รัชกาลที่ 25 แห่งหิรัญนครเงินยางเชียงราวเมื่อ พ.ศ. 1804 และ ต่อมาทรงสร้างอาณาจักรล้านนา เมื่อ พ.ศ. 1839 จึงเป็นปฐมกษัตริย์แห่งอาณาจักร พระองค์ประสูติเมื่อวันอาทิตย์ แรม 9 ค่ำ เดือนอ้าย ปีกุนเอกศกจุลศักราช 601 ตรงกับพุทธศักราช 1781 เป็นพระราชโอรสของลาวเมง พระมหากษัตริย์แห่งหิรัญนครเงินยางเชียงราว กับนางเทพคำขยาย

King Mengrai was the King 25th of the Ngoenyang City, about year 1261. And later, He had a create Lanna Kingdom in year 1296. He is the first King of the Kingdom. He was born on 9th Sunday, 1st of the lunar month, lunar year is the pig, Hulsakrach 601 or year 1238. He is the son of Lao Meng, King of Ngoenyang city and Mrs.Thep-Kam Kayai.

พญามังราย ทรงมีสัมพันธไมตรีกับ พญางำเมือง พระมหากษัตริย์แห่งแคว้นพะเยา และ พญาร่วง หรือ พ่อขุนรามคำแหงมหาราช พระมหากษัตริย์แห่งอาณาจักรสุโขทัย โดยเป็นศิษย์สำนักเดียวกันที่เมืองละโว้ ทั้งสามพระองค์เป็นพระสหายร่วมสาบานกัน พญามังรายทรงต้องอสนีบาต ถึงแก่พระชนมชีพกลางเมืองเชียงใหม่ใน พ.ศ. 1854 สิริพระชนม์ 73 พรรษา / จากวิกิพีเดีย พญามังราย
