Jim Thompson House Museum is located in Soi Kasemsan in soi 2 on Rama 1 Road, Pathumwan district Bangkok Thailand. Opposite the National Stadium. It is Thai houses of James H. W. Thompson. American military who is the pioneer Thai silk industry also an one of the most popular tourist destinations in Thailand.
พิพิธภัณฑ์บ้านไทย จิม ทอมป์สัน ประกอบด้วยเรือนทรงไทยปลูกด้วยไม้สัก 6 หลัง ที่ซื้อต่อมาจากเจ้าของบ้านเดิมหลายๆ รายจากที่ต่างๆ หลายๆ แห่งในประเทศ ชิ้นส่วนของเรือนไทยถูกขนย้ายมายังสถานที่ตั้งปัจจุบัน เรือนไทยนี้สร้างเสร็จสมบูรณ์เมื่อ พ.ศ. 2502 ตั้งอยู่ริมคลองแสนแสบ ฝั่งตรงข้ามคลองเป็นชุมชนมุสลิมบ้านครัว
Jim Thompson House Museum have 6 antique, traditional Thai-style house with teak structures which has bought out from the many original owners of different places in Thailand. The parts of the Thai houses were transported came to the current location. Construction of the Thai house was completed in year 1959. Located on side Klong (canal) which opposite is the Muslim Ban Krua community.

This trip I have to take 2 friends from Hong Kong visit Bangkok by BTS sky train. We are meet at Mo Chit Station and buy one day ticket 140 baht/person for going to National Stadium BTS Station W1 (Silom Line). Exit gate 1 walk to soi Kasemsan 2 on Rama 1 Road, Jim Thompson House is located on the left-hand, end of street.

Open daily 9.00-17.00 hrs. Admission 100 baht per person. The student 50 baht (show card). The front, left side is Thai house is a showroom to sale the products of Jim Thompson Thai Silk Company. He is the pioneer Thai silk industry also known in the alias "Legendary American of Thailand". Success during his 25 year stay in the Kingdom of Thailand. And right side is the Jim Thompson Restaurant and Wine Bar, a counter for the ticket and information. Middle is the yard for show about Thai Dance and step of how to make the Thai silk.
จิม ทอมป์สันได้รับพระราชทานเครื่องราชอิสริยาภรณ์ประถมาภรณ์ช้างเผือก ซึ่งเป็นเครื่องราชอิสริยาภรณ์ที่พระราชทานแด่ชาวต่างชาติที่สร้างคุณประโยชน์ให้แก่ประเทศไทย ตัวอาคารเรือนไทยได้รับรางวัลอาคารอนุรักษ์ดีเด่น ประจำปี พ.ศ. 2539 จากสมาคมสถาปนิกสยาม ในพระบรมราชูปถัมภ์
Jim Thompson received the Royal insignia by The King bestowed to the foreigners who made a benefit to Thailand. This Thai Houses has the Building Conservation Award for Excellence for the year 1996. The James H. W. Thompson Foundation under the royal patronage of H.R.H. Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn.

จิม ทอมป์สัน ได้อยู่อาศัยที่นี่ระหว่างปี พ.ศ 2490 จนกระทั่งหายสาบสูญเมื่อ พ.ศ. 2510 เขาชื่นชอบการสะสมของเก่า บ้านหลังนี้จึงได้จัดแสดงสิ่งของเหล่านี้ด้วย ปัจจุบันอยู่ภายใต้การดูแลของมูลนิธิจิม ทอมป์สัน ซึ่งไม่อนุญาติให้ถ่ายรูปในบริเวณชั้นบนของเรือนไทยซึ่ง จิม ทอมป์สัน เคยอาศัยอยู่ที่นี่ ในปี พ.ศ. 2510 จิม ทอมป์สันกับเพื่อนๆ ได้ไปเที่ยวเดินป่าที่ราบสูงที่เมือง Cameron ในประเทศมาเลเซีย แต่เขาไม่เคยกลับมาอีกเลย จึงเริ่มเป็นตำนานจิม ทอมป์สัน
Jim Thompson was living here during the year 1947 until lost in year 1967. He liked to collecting antiques, this house have an exhibit with these objects, in the current under the direction of Jim Thompson Foundation which was not allow to take photographs in the upper floor of the house, which Jim Thompson once lived here. In 1967, Jim Thompson went on holiday with friends to the Cameron Highlands in Malaysia. There he set out for a walk in the surrounding jungle but never returned. Thus began the Jim Thompson legend.

On the upper floor of the house are a dining room, living room. Guest bedroom, Bedroom of Jim Thompson, a room porcelain Benjarong show blue and white porcelain Chinese of the Ming dynasty period 13-17 century, Art of Vietnam and Asian antiquities.
